Description
Industrial Injection 5.9L 12 Valve Cummins Stage 1 Long Block Engine (1989-1998)
The Industrial Injection Stage 1 Long Block Engine is built for 1989-1998 Dodge Ram 5.9L Cummins Common Rail owners who want a powerful, reliable engine capable of handling increased horsepower while maintaining exceptional durability. Engineered with premium components, advanced machining processes, and over 40 years of diesel performance expertise, this long block is designed for towing, street performance, and demanding work applications.
Every engine starts with a balanced and blueprinted rotating assembly that is Sim-tested to ensure precision, reliability, and long service life. The foundation includes Industrial Injection X Series Coated and Chamfered Pistons, a 12mm Gorilla Girdle with ARP Main Studs, balanced Cummins connecting rods and crankshaft, and ARP rod bolts for superior bottom-end strength.
The engine is equipped with an Industrial Injection Stage 1 188/220 Camshaft, coated H-Series bearings, billet freeze plugs, new tappets, and a complete oiling and cooling system refresh featuring a new oil pump, water pump, and oil cooler.
Topping off the build is our Stage 1 CNC Ported and Polished Cylinder Head with Fire Ring Grooves. This premium cylinder head features stainless steel nitride-coated valves, hardened alloy valve guides, oversized high-temperature valve seats, drilled and tapped coolant freeze plugs, and 95lb performance valve springs to improve airflow, durability, and head gasket sealing.
