The Industrial Injection Stage 2 Short Block Engine is built for 1989-1998 Dodge Ram 5.9L Cummins owners looking to push performance to the next level while maintaining the durability required for competitive diesel applications. Featuring premium forged components, advanced machining processes, and race-proven engineering, this engine is designed to deliver exceptional horsepower, reliability, and longevity under extreme operating conditions.
Every Stage 2 Short Block starts with a balanced and blueprinted rotating assembly that is Sim-tested to ensure maximum precision and reliability. The bottom end is strengthened with Wagler HD Forged Connecting Rods, Industrial Injection X Series Fly Cut, Coated and Chamfered Pistons, a 14mm Gorilla Girdle with ARP Main Studs, and a balanced Cummins crankshaft to provide the strength required for high-horsepower builds.
The valvetrain is upgraded with an Industrial Injection Stage 2 210/220 Camshaft and cam bearings installed in every journal to help prevent camshaft and block wear. Coated H-Series bearings, billet freeze plugs, new tappets, and a complete oiling and cooling system refresh ensure long-term durability and performance.
