Introducing the Aisin AS69RC: Unleashing Unparalleled Power for Your Ram 3500 HD.
Born for medium-duty excellence, ATS's Aisin AS69RC steps onto the scene as a formidable 6-speed automatic transmission, making its debut in the 2013 model year of the Ram 3500 HD. Building on the foundation of its predecessor, the AS68RC, previously exclusive to chassis cab Rams paired with the 6.7L Cummins, this powerhouse sets new standards in performance and durability.
The ATS AS69RC commands attention as one of three transmission options introduced in the 2013 model year, firmly establishing its presence as the standard-bearer for the High Output variant of the 6.7L Cummins, exclusively available in the 3500 pickups. What sets this transmission apart is its imposing stature, outclassing both the AS68RC and 68RFE counterparts in size and robustness.
Let's talk torque - here, it's all about muscle. The ATS AS69RC boasts a TripleLok or 5 Star torque converter depending on the stage of transmission that you order. The ATS TripleLok torque converter has two additional clutch plates than the factory converter while the ATS 5 Star converter is four times larger, eliminating any hint of chattering for a seamless power transfer.
Addressing a known concern with the factory torque converter, our Five Star Converter features a full billet converter, reinforced with a billet piston and clutch, alongside an innovative encapsulated piston design, ensuring unrivaled reliability.
Durability and reliability are not just features; they're assurances. With heavy-duty clutch components throughout our focus is on guaranteeing enduring performance. The entire body undergoes a meticulous redesign, with special attention given to valves prone to hydraulic leaks, fortifying the AS69RC against potential vulnerabilities.
The valve body is then tested and calibrated on our Hydrotest valve body test stand. The K2 and K3 clutch packs have been redesigned to increase the clutch count, ensuring they have the extra capacity to handle increased power levels and extremely heavy loads.
